New Zealand Maori Ferns packed with Auckland talent

Auckland players make up the bulk of the New Zealand Maori Ferns’ squad named today ahead of the 2019 NRL Women’s All Stars match in Melbourne.

Sixteen of the 30 players selected currently play in the Auckland competition for the Manurewa Marlins, Richmond Roses, Pt Chevalier Pirates and Mt Albert Lions, with nine of them having played in the inaugural 2018 NRL Women’s Premiership.

Also in the team are 2018 Auckland Women’s representatives Awhina Marsh, Christyl Stowers, Jonsal Tautari and Kararaina Wira-Kohu.

The squad was selected from the National Tuakana Tournament over the labour weekend in October.
